Dear Jillian…
It’s been nearly two weeks since our expedition to the Heartland. Good ol’ Kansas welcomed us home with blazing temperatures and a dry, dusty wind. ‘Twas just as I remembered the summers to be. Sweltering. Scorching. Sizzling hot.
Despite the weather, your reunion with the cousins was remarkably fun. Daddy and I joyfully watched the three of you intermingle and become best buds by the time we departed. Some of our memorable times included a Langosta Roja outing, a date night for mommies and daddies followed by a late-night ice cream run for the kiddos, Harry Potter in 3D IMAX brilliance, splashtastic excitement at water parks, and simply lounging around watching you go-go-goers.

We're in Kansas and even after 10 years, I can't get used to this heat. Love your blog! Mine is very similar- letters to my 7 1/2 month old son that I started for him when I was pregnant!
